Kirk Bregman. The Captain.
TEAMKIRK aims to raise funds for the American Heart Association, and awareness for the prevention of early on-set heart disease, which took our our son, brother, uncle and friend, Kirk Bregman on April 1, 2012.
TEAMKIRK was founded when Kirk’s nephew, Zachary Silverman, posted a pledge on his Facebook account to finish the 2012 Houston Half Marathon and to raise $4,300 for the American Heart Association ($100 for each year of Kirk’s life). He intended to not only to honor Kirk, but to also improve his own heart-health.ย Within hours, several of Kirk’s family and friends decided to run as well, and many more pledged their support for this very worthy cause.
